What a great wedding. It was a little hot and muggy, but we all survived! I will be adding images to this post in a few days, but first, I wanted to add the link to the news broadcast of their wedding- http://www.wcpo.com/content/specials/2008/extreme/default.aspx . Click on the video on the right side of the page. Ashley, enjoy your golf outing on Monday. I will see you guys when you get back from your honeymoon!

What an amazing week it has been. I’m too worn out to write too much, so I thought I would post a few pics. Nothing you can’t see if you watch the news. I have been told that the tentative air date for the show is October 5th on ABC at 9pm.

A few of Beth's bridesmaids came to cheer on the family.

A close up of the shirts that the girls made the night before.

Plenty of signs lined the street. About 2500 people came to watch the reveal.

Here I am waiting to "Move that bus."

Reaction of Beth and Ashley (and the designers) to the Akers new home.

Friday is the wedding of Beth and Ashley. You will be seeing a lot more of them when the show airs in September. They started their relationship after putting on a fund raiser for the Akers family (the family receiving a new home from Extreme Makeover). Their relationship quickly grew. They are so awesome together. Beth is a selfless, caring person (just wait until you see how much she loves this family). Ashley is a hoot and I think he would give you the shirt off his back if you asked.
I thought I would post a few shots of these guys. More wedding pics to come.

I can’t begin to tell you how privileged I feel to be a part of the Extreme Makeover project. I am so excited for the family to see their new home. I know this home will make their lives so much easier.
This last week was soooo busy! It is such a blur for me. I have barely seen my family. And, for those of you who have called the studio…I promise I will return your calls.
I have been granted access to the inside of the house for the last few day. Today, the accessories and wall art were placed around the house. I am so excited about the number of our images that were hung and displayed in their home. Almost every single room has pictures that we have taken. I just can’t wait to see the show. I am still in amazement that my photography will be part of a national television show. WOW! It is amazing in person, so I am looking forward to seeing how they edit it for the show.
Tomorrow is revel day for the family. I’ll let you know how everything goes.

You know the house is almost done when they are ready to hang the art on the wall. The transformation of the house is really amazing. To see their property change right in front of my eyes (in less than a week) is hard to describe. I can’t wait for the family to come home and see all of the hard work. I am sure the family is going to be so thrilled with everything.
So, after the furniture goes in this afternoon, the pictures will be hung. I can’t wait to see how the designers hang the images and display our work. More tomorrow about that.
OK, so i just want to do a small amount of gloating. While I was on set the other day, I was able to be a part of Ty’s special project. After the project was done, I asked if I could get a picture with all of the people involved with the project. Ty agreed. So I set up the shot super quickly. Ty was so impressed with my speediness that he turned to the crowd and said “Man, she’s good.” Can you believe that? This week has been really amazing. I never would have imagined that my art would be a part of a nationally televised show. Everything has happened so quickly that I’m still in shock.
Gotta go. I have a set of engagement pics before I am off to the set again.

Alright, so I can’t tell you what it is. But, what I can tell you is that I was there to photograph the whole thing. (And I got to run the errand for Ty so that he could get it done.) It has been so amazing to be behind the scenes for the Extreme Makeover Home Edition in West Chester, Ohio. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most amazing people. Besides meeting the on-camera designers, I have met a lot of the “behind the scenes” producers. They are amazing people who work extremely long hours. I can’t imagine having their schedule.
These past few days have been so exhausting. Between photographing the family to getting their images ready for print, it has been nonstop around here. I haven’t seen my family much lately, so I took the opportunity to take them to the set today. That is how we became part of Ty’s special project. Jeff was ecstatic that he got to meet Ty and shake his hand. But was a little bummed that he only got to see Paige from distance. He was really hoping to get a picture with her. (Should I be jealous?) Jordan (my 7 year old) got the amazing opportunity to not only meet Ty, but work with him on the special project-that lucky kid!
I can’t wait until the show airs in September so I can release some of the great pictures that I have taken. Make sure to stay tuned to the blog. I will keep you updated on the air date.

Wow! Extreme Makeover Home Edition has come to West Chester and I am so excited to be a part of the action. A few weeks ago I was contacted by the show to photograph the family. On Wednesday, I spent the day with the cast, crew and family from the show. What an amazing (and exhausting) day it was. Unfortunately, I am not able to show you images from that day, but here’s the link to Channel 9’s coverage of day 1. Check out the video on the right. My 3 seconds of fame happen just as you see the clip of Ty walking towards the crowd. Yours truly is standing right behind him. I will keep you updated as the week progresses.

What a great couple. These guys kept me on my toes the whole time. We managed to ward off most of the cicadas and enjoy our outside pictures.

Take a look at this couple! They traveled from CA to have their wedding in Cincy. How beautiful.

We got to travel to Columbus for this wedding. What a unique venue! Congrats Megan and Chris.
